Philip Morris International announced the extension of its partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP and with the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy, the single-brand championship born in 1993, starting from the 2026 season and for the following years. This new chapter introduces a significant innovation within a historic collaboration: the ZYN brand, a global leader in the segment of nicotine pouches, will in fact appear on the liveries of the Maranello team's single-seaters in some selected races of the Formula 1 championship, after having made its debut on the occasion of theAbu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025, held on December 7.

The announcement, released in December 2025, strengthens a relationship that has been based on over fifty years a common vision oriented towards continuous innovation and the creation of experiences that leave a lasting impression. A journey that has made this collaboration one of the longest-running and most solid in the international sports scene.

Below are the words of Stefano Volpetti, President Smoke-Free Products and Chief Consumer Officer of Philip Morris International:

"PMI shares with Scuderia Ferrari HP the desire to innovate and challenge the status quo for the millions of adults who share this passion. Being present in this context demonstrates our commitment along this path. By further strengthening our partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP, we want to help accelerate the replacement of cigarettes and offer adult consumers of nicotine products, like ZYN, the opportunity to live and appreciate every moment of this exciting adventure."

Innovation, responsibility and a global audience meet on the track

Zyn It is now positioned as the global reference brand in its segment and, in the United States, it is the only product in this category authorized by the US Food and Drug Administration as appropriate for the protection of public health.

It is precisely in this framework that the approach of fits in Philip Morris International, oriented towards responsible marketing and sales policies, designed to inform adult consumers about the smoke-free product portfolio and prevent access by non-intended audiences. Formula 1, with a predominantly adult audience and global distribution, represents a coherent platform for this type of message.

Ferrari has always valued partnerships built on innovation, responsibility, and a vision of continuous improvement, with an eye to the future. The renewed collaboration with PMI represents a concrete expression of this approach and continues a relationship spanning over fifty years, founded on scientific progress and a long-term vision. As PMI advances its development of smoke-free alternatives, we are proud to evolve together, combining shared values of excellence, discipline, and innovation to drive progress on and off the track.

he stated in this regard Lorenzo Giorgetti, Chief Racing Revenue Officer Ferrari.

Behind the iconic partnership, a true long-term strategy

The renewed partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP is part of a much broader path, which sees PMI committed to Building a Smoke-Free Future and, therefore, in the progressive evolution of its portfolio in the long term, also including products outside the traditional tobacco and nicotine sectors.

Which translates, in operational terms, into a company that today operates as an international group in the mass consumption sector, with an offering that still includes cigarettes, but increasingly oriented towards smoke-free products such as heated tobacco devices, nicotine pouches, and vapor products. These solutions are already available in over 100 markets and, as of June 30, 2025, according to the company's estimates, were used by more than 41 million adult consumers worldwide, many of whom have quit cigarettes or significantly reduced their consumption.

In the first nine months of 2025, the smoke-free business also generated 41 percent of PMI's total net revenues. This result is not surprising, considering that since 2008 the group has invested over 14 billion dollars in the development, scientific validation and commercialization of innovative combustion-free products, strengthening advanced skills in areas such as preclinical toxicology, clinical and behavioral research and post-marketing studies.

As already mentioned, following rigorous scientific evaluations, the US Food and Drug Administration has authorized the marketing of ZYN, but also of General snus by Swedish Match and specific versions of the IQOS devices, thus paving the way for an evolution that also looks to the wellness and health sectors.
