Photogallery, the "MiMo" urban redevelopment project

Fifteen kilometers between Milan and Monza, crossing Sesto San Giovanni, all dedicated to ecological mobility thanks to an idea by Bikenomist

There is a project of urban redevelopment which, if realized, would create a 15 km long “green” corridor, Between Monza e Milan, via Sesto San Giovanni.
Is called "Mime", was designed by Bikenomist, a company specializing in communications and consultancy on bicycle themes, and it could be there first underground greenway in the world, with trees and flowery meadows, a cycle path and some preferential lanes for public transport.
Inspired by the Turia linear park di Valencia in Spain, the route closely concerns the Bicocca district, headquarters of Pirelli, who wants to actively collaborate in making the area a center for "green" mobility, promoting innovative initiatives among its employees, too together with the university and other companies in the area.
Has already received a favorable opinion by the City of Milan and would come completed in 2030, it would change the life of at least 75 residents in the territory.
I 5 thousand trees would guarantee one temperature reduction about 3 degrees centigrade of the buildings along the route and the absorption of approx thousand tons di carbon dioxide year.
The greenway would in fact intervene directly on many environmental problems such as heat islands, CO2 emissions and flooding, but also by decreasing social problems and degradation.
